Who Needs Enemies (When You've Got Friends Like These)
This is a punk rock song I've had stored in my head since the early 2000's. It's about people who try to help you and yet somehow manage to make things worse than they would have been without their help. Sometimes it's just not enough that you have good intentions, when the actions lead to something unwanted. The old saying advices you to "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". Who do you keep close when you can't tell the difference between a friend and an enemy?
This is a simple song, yet it's got many different parts in it. Once again, I like the bridge part with it's "calm before the storm" mood. The chorus is divided in two: the second part starts with the harmonyguitars kicking in and the rhythmguitars turning a bit more heavy. I love the contrast it produces - the song turns more heavy and less heavy at the same time... ;) This is one of my personal No Talent favourites.
